A little voice keeps suggesting to me Handjob could well have thought, my reputation's in tatters, may as well spread the love when he chose oakshot as his conduit.

The fascinating thing about this is what it says about our political and media classes which are pretty much becoming one and the same, these days. The content of the leaks is being treated as almost secondary, the real story is the way in which they were leaked.

Oakeshott is vile, don't get me wrong. The definition of a far right swivel eyed loon who owes everything to her wealthy upbringing. She's also clearly selectively releasing these leaks to boost her own profile and push her anti lockdown agenda.

However. The content of these leaks is still massive, revealing the government covered up eat out to help outs effect in spreading the virus, that Johnson was completely out of his depth, that thousands of vulnerable people in care homes died unnecessarily. Granted, most of this was known anyway, but to have it from the horses mouth is quite something. But the real story the press cares about is the fact that oakeshott - a news UK employee - went behind Murdoch's back to a rival paper, the Telegraph.

Our media class is tantruming that she broke some unwritten rule instead of reporting on these leaks properly. Even 'liberal' journos are bemoaning that she's publicly burned her source, making it harder for everyone else, rather than interrogating the content of the leaks.

That video is the perfect illustration. Not arsed about the thousands of dead pensioners who lost their last few years, but more upset that news UK didn't get given the scoop. Despicable people. No wonder we're in the state we are.

And the moral of the story is:

You shouldn't have been a lazy sod but instead have written your own autobiography, Matt.

The one interesting thing I’ve learned about Matt Hancock over the last couple of days is his girlfriend’s uncle is Robert Primrose ( Bob )Wilson the ex Arsenal goalkeeper
