I just saw they had tody thanks to a late late winner taken a "short term" AirNB let on the final play off spot until Saturday

I have a few distant memories of them making the play offs at least twice this century maybe three times and being hopeless in them but  cheating I found

in 2005 West Ham beat them 1-0 in the final at Cardiff.

I haven't'time to check other years -

So if (big if) they gained promotion presumably Whiteman would sign an extension

he bent one around the defensive wall to score in his penultimate game - but even now hasn't scored more than a handful

so what is best for the clubs coppers   ???  Penny for your thoughts

Remember their multi-horse racing owner sadly died in the last couple of years - so where is the money coming from

They lost a play off final to Bolton Wanderers and a semi final to Leeds United as well as that West Ham final .

thanks tyke -- i have very good news for you about the nervous wrecks Of Plymouth who go to Exeter on Saturday - apart from what you already know about their 10 million rated goalkeeper was out for the season after The Sheffield match.

I was thinking abut this thread with the benefit of hindsight -  We need to gat smart when we sell players - even if the clause in the contract looks unattainable  - the buyer would be in the money if it happened.

With hindsight I thought if we had put a clause in that if Preston got to the premiership they pay use £1,000,000 I am sure they would have agreed to this -

Yes you say it will be a long time before we sell another player to a First Division Club  :crying:
