We are in crisis. That there is no question.

We have a Chairman who is obviously not interested in progressing the club, not interested in the supporters views and not interested in how many people turn up to the matches.

It’s a recipe for failure on a huge scale.

I am extremely worried and I think we should all be.

Never since Uncle Ken’s reign of terror, have I ever felt the owners of our club have not been doing a good job up until the last 2 years.
It has now got to a stage where it looks as though they don’t give 2 hoots about the club.
I just feel the fans are now being treated with contempt.

The disintegration under Richardson was due to him being a crook but what is the current incumbents motives for allowing this current disintegration to continue?

I just don’t get what the end game is.  What is the vision. Is there one at all.
Is there a business plan? If so what does it contain.
What are the objectives and how are they going to be achieved.

It wasn’t long ago we were told the Championship was the target now it looks as though keeping our heads above the precipice in League 2 is the big plan.

We need some answers, we really do.
This cannot go on another season. It could be our last as an EFL club for a decade or 2 or even 3  Yes it really could.

Very well said Camps.

I’ve made no secret that I want dull Danny out of our club. He’s a disaster. It’s plain for all to see. But I’ve never been so alarmist to think that we would be at risk of relegation next season should the worst happen and he remained.
However, having watched yesterday and digested everything that is going on, my mind has changed, and yes, we are in real danger of the drop should he stay and things not change.
This will carry over to next season if he does, regardless of new players. New players won’t make a shred of difference to this horrific system/process/formation. The crowds will drop off a cliff and irreparable damage, in the short term, will be done. This is no time for Copps and dull Danny to use us as a pet project.
We have to act now. Blunt has to go also.
A new manager has to be installed. We don’t need a Pep wannabe. Not right now. We need someone to reconnect with the fan base and to lay some solid foundations going forward. We need some blood and thunder, crunching tackles, crosses into the box and shots on goal. They need to get fans off their seats (and not by leaving the stadium!). It may sound simplistic but PR needs to be near the top of their list also.
The only way in my mind at the moment I can think of how and who we get, to get out of this mess is to go to Gavin McCann and give him what he wants. I feel sure that would sell another 1000 ST’s minimum in no time at all. Probably more. I’d buy one.
Whatever happens, the status quo simply cannot be allowed to continue.

If 3 up 3 down between NL and L2 comes into force next season, we are doomed.

Agree with Alan, sinking faster than the titanic. No money next year (we knew that). I am so confident we will get relegated next season (who ever is in charge) that I’m wiling to stake £50 on it. The ignominy of doing a Scunny and a Yeovil is approaching faster and faster.

Why do you think there’s no money next season,
People demand communication from the club but when it comes they ignore it anyway
I think my issue is we were told we were going to bounce back decisively this season and had a budget to do so. We still had a chance of play offs in January and yet we decided to reduce our budget and weaken our squad. Statements contradict themselves on a regular basis and the cynic in me thinks the statement was made because season ticket sales were horrific.

It was a conscious decision to write the season off. While I’m no fan of DS a fair amount of the pressure he’s under stems from cutting costs in Jan.

And don’t forget that we parted company with Tomlin in the early part of the season.
I doubt that he was on two bob a week so that money would also have been available.

Yes in hindsight that was very foolish of me to suggest it.   :chair:

Looking at Brighton who operate a HoF and head coach system we need to be moving away from a manager leaving derailing a whole season. Shouldn’t be the case now Copps is in post.

If DS leaves early next season and we need to have higher expectations of his replacement. Can’t just say well he needs a summer to sign his team. Copps should be signing players that are good and coaches that fit the players. Or else his role isn’t needed.

I fear that his effective influence is hamstrung by DS having the final say on who we recruit! And as has become clear, DS is also the de facto manager.

And we know how committed they are to The Process.

I think another part of the problem is that one of the job specs is that they want us to play attractive football much like we had under SOD. I think this is also hampering us, we all would love this but if we have to play hoofball and shithouse our way to 3 points then so be it. Successful teams aren’t always attractive on the eye.

Sorry, the penny didn't drop, got it now. Maybe Rovers could do a Summer tour of Atlantic Canada. Sunderland did one last Summer.
