I find them completely soulless and dull to be honest.

I know this is all completely based on narrative, and I respect the fact that some people enjoy watching a team stuffed from 1 to 11 (and the rest) full of the world's best players (plus manager) at the cost of billions become an almost machine-like juggernaut designed to play with the utmost precision, but it does absolutely nothing for me personally.

I appreciate that they are the absolute elite of the elite, and in terms of football ability they are second-to-none, but that's not personally what I watch football for. I've been watching the EFL and non-league play-offs and have found those a much more compelling prospect in comparison.

It had an air of novelty about it when they first got taken over and started to win things when they'd previously been starved of top-level success, but now, however many years later, there's nothing that I can personally get enthused about with them. It's the way I felt about Chelsea when Abramovich and Mourinho first went in there, and suspect something similar will happen to Newcastle in time.

Sums up how I feel about this perfectly.

Anybody remember Tony Coleman being transferred to City? Can't see them wanting any of our current players.

They are are a very good side, not a patch on the Barcelona side, that even Man Utd’s great sides of the time, couldn’t put a glove on.
To be compared to them they will have to win a few European cups yet.
Think they could very easily win 3 on the trot.

Arguably two of the worst ECL semis ever screened. Both so one sided. Absolute yawn fest. Can not get lezzed up about Citeh! Like a previous poster has said. It’s simply what you can do with a bottomless pit of Arab money and pay lawyers to get you around FPP. It’s just embarrassing it’s taken them so long to buy their way to ECL glory. Come on Inter!

Quite a few secret Citeh! fans on here clearly. Yes, you have to admire what they have been able to do with £3 billion. It’s a real achievement, equally as good as Leicester winning the Prem.

I’m not sure about that. I don’t think the final they face against Inter is a foregone conclusion. If any countries club side can stop them, it is an Italian one. Very good side, no doubt. The best in our country obviously, but in a one off game, anything is possible.
I see Inter stopping them winning it.

I would have a lot more respect for posters who say they dont like Man City because they have spent a lot of money if they hadn't on other threads said we should spend a lot more money.

I haven't watched a Champions League game since they stopped being on ITV. Wont be watching this one either.

All the finals have been streamed live on YouTube ever since BT sport gained the rights

True .... and if someone came along and bankrolled Rovers ( without anything contentious like at Cardiff and Hull ) I for one would be happy

A lot of people slate Man City as buying the Title. Manchester United insist they would never "buy success or the Title" but they have been doing it forever

From Harry Gregg signed from Doncaster Rovers in 1957 for £23,500 then a WORLD RECORD for a Goalkeeper to Paul Pogba at 94.5 million quid (ffs) suggests otherwise

A lot of hypocrisy on here.

Man Utd & Chelsea you could say bought previous previous titles.

City wouldn’t undoubtedly be the team they are without all the money they have to purchase players. Having said that they still need moulding into a team that wins wins and wins.
Guardiola is an exceptional man manager and Coach.
To build the team spirit he has with 25 players who are all capable of being regular 1st team starters is an exceptional achievement.
To win the title 5/6 times takes some doing in our Premier League.

Having said that there is far too much money swilling about at the top 6/7 clubs and for someone like Leicester City to win the league is now really a one in 50 year chance.
It just isn’t a level playing field and hasn’t been for about 25 yrs now at least
In the good old days of the 60’s 70’s & 80’s it was much more of an even playing field but even in those decades Spurs, Liverpool, Everton, Leeds, Man Utd, & Arsenal where the dominant 6 clubs.
But unfashionable clubs like Nott’m Forest, Ipswich Town, Derby County and Aston Villa and one or two others had their success’s.
Yes Villa have a great history so calling them unfashionable may be incorrect but in todays Premier league world they possibly are seen as that.

I think you picked the wrong poster to level that accusation at, Donnyjim... the clue's in the name.
