Today I counted 4 squished hedgehogs on the road on a 4 mile journey. Apparently this is good news because there are still plenty of hedgehogs around to get squished. Everything is ok.

I've noticed lots recently as well Rd
Also road kill birds which around me in a 20 zone should be minimal don't stand a chance at 40 or more
Pigeons and Blackbirds ( both flat everywhere ) and when I see a Blackbird dead in nesting season I think of the chicks maybe starving too as casualties.
People say "it's nature" but I don't think interaction with cars IS necessarily nature but nowt can be done.
20 zone put in to protect people especially kids but if drivers don't comply to keep them safe they aren't going to think of wildlife are they ?

Phew,
Pretty hot for September. It's meant to be Autumn now, my old Mum used to say winter is on the tail of the last horse of the St Leger.
Not this year I think.

Had our autumn in July this year
Only moderate air quality for me last night with the Saharan dust. Hopefully Sadiq Khan doesn’t come and charge me for it
