Are the Presenters at Radio Stupid or thick or BIASED ?

Today as I was watching yesterday's Spy Gilette the presenter ( yes him again )  said he was surprised tennis balls were thrown on the Wednesday pitch because he said everyone was searched !!! 

   
So the question is how come these two  "appear" not to know ( or in the alternative - cock a deaf un) regarding the fact that people were searched for their "felt balls" 

and make it look like their was no protest.
