11 murdered this year already in a country that has over the years had very little crime or unrest!

10-15 years ago I was invited out with a business that I'd done some work with that did a fair bit of trade with other businesses in Sweden & Norway. They'd invited some of the lads from these firms over to London on a 'fact finding' mission that was really nothing more than an opportunity for a few nights out in London!! I do recall that one of these lads was predicting that Sweden would have issues in the future due to immigration and he put this down to the fact that the numbers arriving into the country were "huge" and they weren't integrating into Swedish society. It seems that his prediction is coming true.

On the other hand though, his biggest gripe about the country was the huge levels of Tax that they pay rather than immigration.

This is from someone that has lived the violence and of course wants it to end. I agree with you sprot that Swedes are quite insulated and they are socially conservative. This, as one politician says has come 'as a shock'

There parliamentary system is built on discourse and agreement, not always of course, it will be interesting to see if they can rescue the situation.

Well if it’s Somali immigrants behind the trouble it’s due to them taking their baggage with them, they were let in to Escape the warring factions in Somalia but have merely polarised into the same groups and factions and the rivalry goes on.
I did some work a few years back with 4 Somali 16 year olds in Sheffield, they had grown up over there, they bought a Brocock starting pistol and with their home grown Skills converted it to fire live rounds they then made their own Ammo, fortunately the lead in the Bullets was poor and when they shot a rival in Devonshire Green the Bullets broke up and the wounds were not fatal.
They didn’t want to engage and were sentenced to attempt murder and will be deported at the end of their sentences.
Whilst trying to outreach them I got to know the Iman, he told me all 4 were distant relatives of their so called mother, the women were all Widows who had been evacuated after their husbands had been killed, before they went the relatives approached them and begged them to take several lads who were distant relatives to stop them getting killed, the Iman said consequently these woman had massive families, a couple of their own kids plus half a dozen tennagers who will only respond to a strong male father figure,
He urged me to get the Cops to drop them off at the Somali Mosque so the ‘Elders’ could beat some sense into them! Sadly it was a No No!

I don’t think that’s what he’s suggesting. He’s giving an example of how some immigrant communities are creating their own insular towns within towns thus reducing the opportunity to mix with people of other cultures.

Ex pat Brits in Spain is a good example.
It’s disgusting I went to a place called La Marina near Alicante,shopping square like waterdale ,one pub was offering Tetleys beer, Pie Mash and Chips ,and Footie!
It was 90 % Brits, I got sick of seeing wizened old biddies buy fags and tramping round in vests, short etc, they all looked like bunches of dried Tobacco Leaves!
