I see the fascists have manhandled one of their own out of the conference hall during Herr Braverman’s speech, for softly voicing an opinion, they labelled him a heckler, so much for free speech eh?

She's absolutely desperate for her "rivers of blood" moment isn't she.

I don't have much time for Tories of any persuasion frankly but you have to think the Ken Clarke wing of the party would be absolutely horrified by her speech today.

Fair play to the guy too:

That has restored my faith in humanity and politics.
I was beginning to think/worry all tory voters and were @#£*£=s.
A grass root tory calling out the government for being @#£*£=s.

Wow he actually called someone else a bully, a guy from the community who are the highest order of bullies. Ask JK Rowling, Riley Gaines or Graham Lineham who the bullies are. Simply saying a biological truth or stopping this community fiddling with kids is enough to get bullied, cancelled and physically abused.....free speech eh?

More than a little creepy that it was the police who ejected him.

And then does anyone expect Labour wouldn't do the same? Plus they'd add the tag of antisemitism to whoever it is. The problem here is the control and authoritarianism in the main parties, or to cut to the quick, it's the control by elites.

Why is he being held in an arm lock and frogmarched by a security goon and the police once he's outside the venue?

From the mouth of braverman ..............

''and of course as always happens when the left gets the upper hand, those that fail to conform are persecuted, chased out of their jobs for saying a man can't be a woman''

where a member was dragged out for having his say ...............

she said later 'she thought what he said was silly but should be allowed back in

like rats in the bottom of the barrel

Appalling from the Tories, and appalling from the police acting when no suggestion of criminal activity is evident.

There is form for this kind of authoritarian behaviour.

Apart from any moral issue it could end up being a legal problem with any associated costs, there's a few parties having legal issues and possibly costs issues currently, aye Albie

Poor chap's been silenced by both Labour and the tories now.  Marching him out in that style is at best bizarre but it's much worse than that.

And the sooner Braverman is ditched the better.

So you're happy for people's careers to be ruined, for women to have no chance in sports.... just for telling this community its not right for men to be in women's sports, its not right for the NHS to be told to tell patients that "people " can get pregnant not "women". The list goes on

Well done to the government for standing up to these peoples/theys and well done to people who aren't scared to be bullied by them

Can someone tell me why there was a police presence inside a private conference?

Probably because like them or not the prime minister, home secretary and defense secretary in a room require security.

Pud,

There was no threat to Braverman from a security perspective.
Boff was simply commenting from the conference floor, and not even loudly.

No role for police at all unless there was a disorder issue, which there was not at the point he was removed.

Can understand why police would be there, as they would be for any well-attended event (although looking at pictures, not sure the Tory conference this year counts as such!). They shouldn't be frog marching old fellas out of the audience for simply commenting - you can't call what this guy said a heckle, he didn't even raise his voice - on speeches.

If they're worried about disorder, they should be looking at the poundshop fascist on the stage.

BfYP Security at a private event is surely the reponsibilty of the organiser who should be employing their own Security not using the Police. I understand a Police presence outside the venue but not inside

Judging by recent events such as the Manchester bombing it makes sense to have armed officers in the Venue. It’s not difficult to get into a venue several weeks before and hide a weapon or 2 for later use. Or you would be amazed at what some folks can stash up their bottom !

The bombing took place in the foyer area not inside the actual venue.
Are you serious about being able to hide things, have you seen all the merchandise stalls?
