Agree with the original list apart from Rowe for biggins.

Before he got that injury against Sutton he was a key player for us linking the midfield and attack and bringing others into play (he did a lot of things that went unnoticed).

To the Ppl saying his legs have gone and he’s making a lot of fouls, he has always been someone who commits tactical fouls etc, when he was last with us he was always a good bet to get booked.

I’d keep him for another year on probs a bit less wages (which he will have to do anyway being 35) and have him as a squad/rotation player who can play basically anywhere on the pitch and do a job.

Think if we were to lose him/get rid in the summer he would go to a top end league 2 club anyway (wouldn’t be surprised if he went back to Stockport if they don’t go up).

Some fans were saying we should forget about the winter transfer window. Just tick over and concentrate on the summer signings to push on next year.

Personally, I think signing  Conor Carty, Jay McGrath, Matthew Craig and Billy Waters so early in the window shows that the board want Rovers to climb the table before the end of the season. That is positive (as per this thread), and it will be interesting to see where we end up. Certainly justifies some optimism after a mediocre first half season. I think we now need to ship some more out if anyone will take them.

Moving players on (February when Grant has the players in on loan that he has identified) was covered at the Meet the Owners event.

I'm certainly confident Grant has brought players in that will strengthen the team in areas where we have proved we need more guile, pace & solidity. Carty, Craig, McGrath & Waters tick all those boxes for me. A top 10 finish is absolutely within our reach & if Grant says he still has "half an eye on the play offs" that sort of mindset might yet surprise one or two stat driven 'pundits'.

No, I don't think anyone said forget about the window, as it was clear some business needed to be done. What most said, was about managing the expectations of the type of signings, given January is notorious for clubs sometimes making desperate moves by paying over the odds for players.

I think most would agree with you though, the signings so far point to an essential step in reshaping the squad. Hopefully, more permanent, quality players will arrive in the summer, whilst we trim the weak and crocked.

Well its too easy to be listing the negatives, so whilst keeping positive, here is my list of positives from today:

Good debuts from the new lads, McGrath in particular.

The performance together of McGrath and Bailey for all but 1 minute of the game.

Waters was a thorn in their side the whole first half (maybe run out of steam due to lack of game time?)

Joe Ironsides performance AGAIN, class

Hurst and Taylor getting back on the pitch. These two could be like new signings if we can keep em fit.
