A new achievable target

Should be to finish 17th.

We have to finish above the 18th place we did last season.

We are going to struggle to attract anyone with any pedigree if we don’t appear to have bottomed out. Players do not want to jump on a sinking ship.

I think talk of top half, top 10 or even McCann having an “eye on the last play off spot” just demoralises the players further by giving them an insurmountable target.

A realistic one sharpens the focus. No it’s not where we want to be, but it’s where we are. The club needs to deal with that instead of continuing the delusion.

Currently 8 points away from Tranmere and Bradford with a game in hand.

We've won 1 in our last 9 and lost 6 of them. We are absolutely hopeless at present. Finishing outside of the bottom 2 is the target and even that isn't necessarily achievable on anything like current form.

It is quite possible that we won’t manage that either.

My new target is to hope,for an achievable target of avoiding relegation.No point in thinking further than that now,until its achieved,then look to move on next season.
