Decent results for us last night. FGR drawing when it looked like they would win, Sutton's win nothing to be overly concerned about given how many points behind they are with two more games played (and it has stopped Notts from widening the gap with another game played).

I know we won't scrape the payoffs bar an absolute miracle but we're no further behind 7th (still 12 points) and have gained a game in hand on a lot of teams.

It'll be a very tough game on Saturday away at an in-form Walsall but if we can pick up a point that would be fantastic. Three points and we'd be in "dare to dream" territory!

It’s opening up now. There are the bottom two in Sutton and Forest Green. Then two more in Colchester and Grimsby. Then a separate group of us, Salford, Tranmere and Swindon, and we have two games in hand in the others. We’re in a strong position and in form.

Yes it’s Colchester and Grimsby who need to worry about FGR, not us. I think FGR stay up now.

Salford have 3 tough games coming up and their honeymoon period is over.

I think in the condensed mid table pack Notts and Harrogate could slip further. They are in free fall. Looking at the league performance stats Harrogate have been lucky to be where they are so that should even out.

We have a tough few games but I think we still look good for that 17th spot and progression on last year I’ve previously mentioned.

You only need to look at Harrogate games against the top 9 teams and compare them against the bottom against the bottom 15 to see ho they achieved that temporary high position.

We were dire but it wasn’t too long ago that Notts County took us apart in probably the best display of proper football I have ever seen at this level. What a collapse.

Pardon me Sir
that was solely due to McGoldrick returning to the side after a shoulder injury - if he hadn't played they would have been opeless AGAIN as they were in the games when he was injured

AND if that penalty had gone in we  might well had a different result    you know how some script goes we then score a one off screamer from outside the area --  we have all seen it happen

take the Barnsley Orient game -- barnsley scored a very late equaliser and one of theirs gets sent off for no apparent reason in injury time

If he hadnt had got sent off that miracle winner wouldn't have happened full stop

but the stupid fans moan about him being sent off  wanting butter on both sides of their bread - if he had stayed on it would have been a draw

Finish above Notts and sign Langstaff to partner Ironside next season… we can dream.

We gave Notts County far too much respect in the two games we played against them. We barely troubled them even though they are clearly quite easy to get at defensively.

win please
McGoldprick has a dodgy shoulder (don't know which so bang both !!) and they haven't had a reserve goalie on the bench for a few games so after 6 defeats from 8 games they are their for the taking

we surprised the world the last time we played in Nottingham on Boxing Day when we were well bottom so let's go for the brace (in my dreams !! at least )

As you can see above

I actually told you exactly how to handle McGoldrick pre-match he had been out injured as they were losing and returned to the side against us ---

sadly my info fell on stony ground.
