The Sutton away game
« on March 29, 2024, 09:53:19 pm by Prez »
So entering deep into stoppage time, losing 1-0 if someone had tapped you on the shoulder and said "dont worry lad we will get 24 points from the next 11 games including this one" , what would you say to them???

Its also incredible that we have now overtaken Notts County who were miles infront of us.

Full credit to Grant and his staff and the players of course, not forgetting Terry who backed Grant in the January transfer window.

But... I commented after the game that woody had been back for 2 matches and we immediately looked stronger at the back...coincided with stronger forwards play, and here we are...

This run really started at Mansfield away. Thats when the underlying numbers improved and started exceeding market expectation. Following that, MK was great, Slight dip vs Harrogate who were flying at the time, we were very good vs Newport despite the result, the Stockport 1-5 was a poor result but the underlying numbers honestly weren’t that bad (trust me!), and then the run started.

I actually said with 10 mins to go at Sutton , we might actually be a non league side next season !
We was so poor that game but in the final seconds something at the club just clicked , the club the players the fans became 1 .
