Billy goals bet

I ask this as I’ve had a bet with a colleague who said Billy won’t bag 10 goals or more this season & I said he would and there’s a £5 note riding on it so big money.

I wouldn't be surprised if you won and I wouldn't be surprised if you lost. Depends on how he's used and if he hits the ground running.

No mate, pens are not gimmes.
They should count the same as a goal from open play.

I can’t see him getting enough minutes to get in to double figures.

We can’t forget how dominant Ironside was at the back end of last season. Don’t forget we signed young Yeboah too.

I can see the goals getting more spread out this season though.
My prediction for league goals:

I thought Yeboah was a flying winger. Anyway I don’t think the outlay on signing Billy is for him to be sat on his behalf. I expect him either to start or get last 39 minutes from the bench. Personally I’d play Sharp and Ironside together with Joe dropping deeper in the number 10 position.

Anyone who thinks he will be on the bench most weeks will be in for a shock. If he stays fit I can see him playing at 40. Look at Henderson. What age did he slow down scoring for fun 38 39. Billy's never had much pace so that's never been his game. He knows where to be as he reads the game well. That won't change with age and at this level I see no reason he won't get 15 plus in all comps.
