If the You Gov MRP poll is correct...

...something absolutely unprecedented is about to happen.

It's predicting that the Tories will not reach 50% of the vote in a single constituency.

They'll win some seats of course, but they won't get a majority of the votes anywhere.

That's never happened to a major party I'm modern times. Both major parties have areas that are so rock solid that they always get a majority of votes even when the party gets battered nationally.

Even in Labour's worst performance in 100 years in 2019, there were seats in which it picked up 70-80% of the votes. Even in the 1997 landslide which was the worst Tory performance ever, they still got 60+% in some seats.

The YG poll is saying the most they'll get in any constituency this time is about 45-47%.

One to keep an eye on this time.
