Stanley Manager

Very complimentary about us today.  Gave us loads of credit. No whining about the ref or us.
It's probably a nod to his pay masters about thr size of his task but nevertheless,  it's good to hear.

I’ve only seen the highlights but the standard manager excuse of “bad defending” could hardly wash, could it? But even so, so many managers would not have been as objective.

What a smart thoughtful interview that is. Clearly did his homework on us. I like him

Cut out the time wasting from minute one and we may have more respect!

Nice guy. Comes across very well indeed.  Knowledgeable, honest and no bullshit or waffle. Who was the last opposition manager who impressed as much?? SOD?

Not sure it’s what you want to hear if you were an accy fan.

Fair enough praise our quality but he kept going on about it

Seems a nice guy but as we know it’s a ruthless game and they will need to show a lot more than today to even make a fight of it.

Not sure having two national league strikers up front is the smartest idea either.

Might be a nice bloke but they’re one of the biggest “dark arts” teams I’ve watched. Time wasting from the first minute and committed some horrible fouls.

Teams of poor quality like theirs will always use the dark arts against a team like ours. Their only aim will be to stop us building any momentum and try and frustrate. They knew their only hope to get something out of the game was to play like they did. Be prepared for a few other teams to adopt the same tactics. Its up to us to find ways around it & Im confident we will.

What really wound me up as well was pinching up to 10yds at each throw in and rarely being pulled up for it. On one occasion he made the player go back and the lad still ended up taking it from the same place after his run up the line.

Yes SOD was the best since big Mac. Both finished by a Chairman who didn’t have a clue of how to advance the club.

Just think how much further he would have been up the pitch if he hadn't been pulled back and yes I saw that one as well
