He doesn’t need pace, he never has. He’s a natural goal scorer that instinctively puts himself in the right positions. That finish was class yesterday and he reacted far quicker than anyone else. He could be the difference in the right games this season

Sheffield was a great player and warranted being called King Laurie. Trouble is, Alick was the king then, so I suppose having two kings in the team would have somewhat diluted the honour.

I noticed that. Back then I used to sit at that end and he paid his tribute right in front of us.

It won’t work that way. Over the 55+ games this season they will rotate. That keeps them both fresh.

I don’t know the guy but I feel like Joe is someone who needs to feel secure and appreciated. His form dipped last year as soon as Biamou came in. He was then absolutely superb again once Max got injured.

He doesn’t have that natural ability that Billy has but he got 20 league goals last year and he’s also a big physical presence who links the play well to allow the goal scoring wide players to flourish. He gets through a lot of hard work for the team.

Obviously Billy is a legend and was always going to get a big reception but I will feel for Joe if that continues every time he comes off for him. I think if he feels the love from the fans he will stay confident.

Joe knows he is loved here. I think all the players will know the bond we have with Billy. Billy will always be a blade but he also knows he's loved here and I'm happy to be second best in his heart.

Wilks Marquis and Rowe in 2018/19 but we didn’t have a 4th player really as Alfie May wasn’t the player then with us that he became later after leaving.

In 2018/19, Tommy Rowe was in and out of the team that season and largely played in midfield, Copps would have played a lot more than him. I don’t remember either being prolific, though.

In 2012/13 Copps missed half the season as he was at Forest, I imagine that Kyle Bennett would have played more than he did in that team.

The last time I saw us as having goal scoring potential from so many different players was probably when we got promoted from League Two - Marquis obviously the main man but Williams, Copps, Rowe all chipped in and Mandeville had a bit of a purple patch where he scored a few.
