Moore wasn't the only manager who didn't really rate May. And when he left us, he scored 15 goals in his first 61 league appearances for Cheltenham in L2. It's not like he was the phenomenon he has become, on the day he left us and only Moore couldn't see it.

 Some players bloom in different circumstances.

Exactly this. Players need around 100 games of league football to really find their feet. He was the same.

Moore let May go for peanuts and replaced him with untried, unable, unfit, uninterested, unacceptable loanees with no short or long-term potential.

It was f**king scandalous.

What is astonishing is some of those who thought May was given a fair chance at Rovers believed Bogle wasn't!

Think Moore wasn’t wrong to let him go but he was wrong to replace him with what rubbish he did. That’s what stung about it.

Great for him to reach that milestone and I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up back here one day like Billy.
