Sam Straughn Brown again played 90 minutes for Peterborough Sports in a 2-0 win against Needham Market (great name for a club). he is doing great just playing at that standard regularly and to his credit got praise for his contribution in the game in the managers summary.
In the report of the game he was mentioned for a great run and centre that was headed wide, and also how tidy his ball retention was and how he used the ball well setting up play.
Well done Sam.
Bobby Faulkner again led his side to second clean sheet in the week following up the 0-0 game v Alfreton on Tuesday with an excellent display v Chorley in an important 1-0 win against a side Buxton are fighting with to reach the National North Leagues play offs.
It's a game I went to, and he is becoming a top defender, taking on some really robust players at their own game and has made a marked difference to Buxton's defence with to be fair two other very good defenders in Mann from Stockport and Burton from Hartlepool also on loan, and between them are a very solid young unit, John McGrath as I have said before must have good connections and a great eye for young players of quality having put a young side together that competes at that level, playing against sides quite a few years average age older and much more experienced.
Kasper Williams looks like he is finding it much harder at Whitby to get a lot of game time as the club try and climb out of the danger of getting relegated, manager Gary Liddle proffering to play himself in central defence in the last few games with Kasper on the bench.
