Palace’s hardest game was against us
It was the worst final I have seen in years. The best football games are when there is end-to-end football and shots at both ends and skill and passing in between. Palace killed the game just crowding out their our net. Cowards and boring!
Man City are so predictable and boring to watch , Palace did a great number on them. Got to admire Pep in some respects but nearly every manager has tried to copy his style of playing out from the back and retaining possession, it's so robotic and like I say boring. The 2 champions league semi finals were so refreshing to watch , relying on great old fashioned wing play and individual brilliance at times, it was almost like football of old was back.
BBC coverage started what, an hour before kick off..Used to be most of the day..Still, it is a decent watch today.
Pre-match I thought Palace werer Manc City's bogy team at the Etihad - but of course the match wasn't played there.on checking I found "Crystal Palace have only come out on top in two of their last 20 Premier League meetings with Man City (D5 L13), and both of those victories were secured at the Etihad Stadium in December 2018 and October 2020."i thought they had won there more recently - alas No. but Palace got a 2-2 draw away last seasonLast season i watched Palace at home to Man city, Palace broke at lightening speed to take a 4th minute (Mateta the culprit).1-0 lead and I thought there was no way Man City could win the League - the way Palace scored that goal - City won in the end 4-2 Despite the City win that day, I thought there was no way they could win the league. I got that wrong!Yesterday by chance I put the tv on and it was half time since the unlikely had happened I decided to watch the Latest Remake of the "Battle of the Alamo" -Memories of the Bromley Alamo are still in my mind !!!!At least this latest "Alamo" had a happy ending
