To be fair to Grant he took full responsibility for both the defeat and the performance for yesterday’s debacle.I think we would have been in a better place if we had gone to Lincoln and placed 1M on the table and got Rob Street. He is the type of striker we need. I know it’s not my money but Terry’s.

Rob Street who had not scored a league goal for Lincoln? He’s not worth a million quid in a million years.

We received £1.5 million from the EFL for going up as Champions last season. Perhaps in no uncertain terms with the help of one particular player’s goals who joined us on loan in the January transfer window.

You make it sound like we received an additional £1.5m prize money for winning the league. How much would we have received had we not gone up as champions?

New front 3

Shayne Lavery - McCann can offer him the opportunity for him to get back in the Northern Ireland team

Michael Mellon - doing well on loan at Oldham was linked to us in the summer offer him a 6 month upgrade with view to buy

Kayden Jackson - out of favour at Derby. Explosive pace on the right.

Bosh. Get it done @Grant

If O'Riordon returns to his parent club at Christmas and I hope he doesn't as I rate him, we need two central defenders who are primarily defenders, and the answer could be in house for one and also for a dedicated central defensive mid fielder allowing Bailey to play central defender.
Benefits would be we would have two good defenders of our own  who would only get better, they would provide more pace to the side and physicality, would not cost money to bring back, and could well go on to raise value in the transfer market, and would allow others on the fringe to go out on loan.
Probably not to happen as we have not since the Snodin brothers and Rankine era trusted our own youth proffering to go with bit part players and add names to the many failures we have had play for us from bigger clubs like the flying mop of hair from Brighton.

I'm pretty sure there isn't any prize money for winning League Two. Every club gets £1.5m no matter where they finish whether that's top or bottom.

Thank you. Suppose its quite easy for someone to ask Google a question, read the first response and draw the wrong conclusion....

Shayne Lavery has only made 5 league appearances this season and made 15 last season, that’s appearances not matches, remember an appearance counts if the player come on for 2 minutes. He does score goals but is slightly injury prone

So McGrath and Flint?

If you want LDR yes, Flint would definitely be my choice, but not thinking particularly,  of that make up, you need first division standard or better to play in division1
And to qualify my thoughts LDR I consider we have three possible first division class players at the club ay the moment to play central defence, O'Riordon, Pearson, and Bailey, others are entitled to disagree.

We’ve hit a real bad patch. I’m surprised if we lose four nil to anybody in this league. I think the recruitment has been pretty good, we just haven’t got the firepower we had last season, Rob Street hasn’t been replaced. We are relying on Billy Sharp when as good as he is we should have two other strikers that are far younger and on form.

Ajayi has ability but his confidence seems low. Hanlan hasn’t had a good start. The guy from America seems also low on confidence. A bit of work needs doing on the training ground. We shouldn’t be losing to Orient like that.

Anyone we should be thinking about signing Sammy?

Hassane Bande, 26 years old, 5ft 10 in. Quick, very clever player. Interesting one without a club, was released. Burkina Faso international 38 caps 3 goals. Ex KV Mechelen, Ajax, Amiens and Hjk in Finnish league.153 appearances 26 goals. Played at a higher level, would score goals for us.

Great to have you back Sammy.
