Good Luck Tonite Old Man Mr McGoldrick and thank you for "keeping off the Pitch" on Saturday

Both Gaz  & I knew you would  not start against us -- cotton wool ? ( invent a niggle etc) Yes it could have been oh so different if you had started  BUT IT WASN'T FULL STOP

Anyhow the Maestro and our future Tottenham loanee (should you not get promotion) start plus Austin returns with his engine in midfield

let's see you beat Walsall in the final to get revenge for the great first half and 'orrible second half against Walsall

https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=notts+county+v+walsall&id=2FA8DCDC467076E15D33CB5B4EFEB55682D6CAC2&FORM=IQFRBA

IF we are going to sign Abbott on loan (not Diane) then here is an insight into him - his father (yes the one who interviewed him ) is smart and so is the kid  --  I think the Mother must be Turkish or Greek for what it's worth

I have known for a long while the kid is class -- that goal against Accrington etc

https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2025/may/08/interview--the-abbotts/

McCann seriously needs to view this interview to get an insight into the lad --- job for Silent majority to relay the message   -- very intelligent lad as I said

They were mediocre tonight, Jatta wasn’t in the game again and then totally lost his head at the end.
Looks to me like Chesterfield have a real chance of getting through the playoffs, so another local derby to look forward to.

Conor Grant missed 2 absolute sitters for County.

No, not the one who played for us, a different one.

With Jatta suspended, and McGoldrick looking injured again, I doubt that County have much chance next week.

Opinions on Jatta’s red?

Stonewaller for me. Surprised to hear the commentators say otherwise.

Absolutely. Two footed challenge, both feet off the floor.

He didn’t help himself either with his reaction and putting his hands on the neck(?) of the Wimbledon player,
Wimbledon are a horrible team to watch aren’t they.

I didn’t see the game tonight but I’m disappointed with the result.

After our party at Meadow Lane I was hoping Notts would win the play-offs but that’s not a good start.

Two good performances by the keepers. Both teams had chances to bury that, and momentum swung. Jatta may have given County a lifeline by getting sent off. He was rubbish last night, plus with McGoldrick looking injured it will need a proper reshuffle and that might mean they are better without them.

Goodwin for MK dons had a great game in net could be one to potentially look at next season on loan from palace so I would guess they want him playing league one football

Looks a very steep hill for Notts County now. Suspect that is probably last game Jatta has played for them now. Someone will be in for him this summer surely.

I thought the referee was responsible for fifty percent of how that game went, and if I was a Notts County supporter I would feel particularly aggrieved.
They should have had a clear penalty, were subjected to continual tactical fouls and the Wimbledon goal was a clear foul on a player by pulling a shirt stopping him challenging for the cross Wimbledon scored from, and was clearly influenced by the Wimbledon players to issue the red card when a yellow for both; one for a dangerous challenge and one fgor simulation afyer hardly being touched.
The FA should be looking at that game and questioning how a referee appointed to that game because of his high marks throughout the season could be so poor, and I might add one sided.

So far well after match had finished  I have half-watched 20 minutes before I fell asleep - Wimbeldon seemed to have the ball most of the time.

I have decided to read as many versions of events as I can.

I knew Wimbledon games were always low scoring but still didn't realize they had only conceded 35 next best 45

AFC Wimbledon
46   20   13   13   56   35   21   73

The main culprit with hindsight is their loanee Crystal Palace Canadian U-20 : England U-20 Goalkeeper who after representing both countries declined a request from Nigeria to "steal" him for the hattrick

he's 21 and Wimbledon is in the same Parish as Crystal Palace . Against Ipswich in the EFL he saved two penalties when they won

Did the team recognise who was in goal for Stockport yesterday - that former attention seeking Crawley goalkeeper - who is now quieter than a church mouse - which is what Alfie was when we had him

Stockport County is delighted to announce the signing of Crawley Town’s promotion-winning goalkeeper, Corey Addai, for an undisclosed fee.

Conor Grant Mark 2 seems to  getting the blame for missing was it four chances

I have just replayed the highlights of that April 12th 1-1 draw with Wimbledon  when Sharp became the second player sent off  and it took a deflection for us to score against Goodwin

There goalie is a bit of a ringer but would he fancy a loan with us if Wimbledon don't make it or would he prefer Orient/Charlton ? etc
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Owen_Goodman

I also noticed from the final league table we almost scored as many goals as Walsall's  77

we and Chesterfield (who we sponsored this season) scored 75

Our club should be highly commended for helping the Newcomers" out

CLH, you simply could just say “I like the look of the Wimbledon keeper, I would love to have him at DRFC” rather than all that other nonsense you post.

As for the game, I can’t see County getting through. They just simply aren’t good enough and a far cry from that team we played at home early in the season, just the like the season before they start well but then struggle after Xmas.

McGoldrick is miles off being fully fit isn’t he. May even be past the point of patching him up for the second leg.

What really annoyed me what that cheat named Lewis who throughout the whole match was constantly lifting the leg of his shorts!
He was doing it at the eco so obviously some kind of obsession he has.

Some weird kind of homo-erotic male dominance thing.

Turned down deal at Notts County and is on the move this summer.

He's the best player in the league when fit. Key thing will be keeping him fit. MK seem to be going out on players that are decent now to almost get the job done in 1 season
