Really Gaz?? That's fantastic. Even all  the local Potteries sources today were putting Tolaj down as a cert to play tomorrow. Well done Plymouth!

The only trouble with that, Bob, is we have to play Plymouth at some point!

Very true. But perhaps we'll have an integrated striker by then.....

Mo Faal starts for Vale today, with Marosi on the bench.

Bit of a stinker of a half. Really slow and lacking ideas, McGrath keeps giving ball away, and we look short of ideas in the final third. O’Riordan is a great player, and a couple of good saves from Timmy keeps us in it.

Big half time team talk to rev them up, we’re still in this and if we can get first goal we can kick on as there keeper and back four look suspect to me.

Seriously what is the point in Clifton? It never works with these as the 3 midfielders. This engine also. I've not seen him arrive first or close a player down all half. It's seriously baffles me this selection.

No coincidence we scored 4 at Boro with much better technical players on the pitch

Hope the manager has noticed what is wrong and makes drastic changes.

Much better start to second half. Odd as he has only changed out the left back and centre back.

First half the worst we have played since the game at Chesterfield  away last season, The players hooked at half time the tight choices who were poor first half.

Any win is a good win.
Strange though that we were superb last Tuesday and got nothing.

Great win especially turning it around after the first half. Great character building and confidence boosting.

Cardiff stayed in the game v Luton earlier and nicked a winner. They also did the same at Vale themselves so we are in good company.

Good second half performance, the one moment of urgency and quality got us the goal, but we dug deep and kept them at arms length. Well done lads, good battling away win and keeps us top half and in touch.

I was saying Bailey is having a bad game for the first time ever here and then bang scores.

Not the most convincing performance but happy with the 3 points. Most importantly, a win on my birthday! Best present I could have wished for.  :rtid:

We started ok but performance level went downwards after first 20-25 mins.
Thought the ref was poor, an example being he booked Jay when it appeared their player fell over when he caught jay’s foot.
Then when mols was away and brought down, no booking.
Then mols was brought down from behind and not even foul given.
No consistency and poor decisions throughout the game.

We looked a tired team. Understandable with the games we’ve had.

You would imagine there will be a lot of changes for Tuesday night. Would be fair to give that same side a run out again after the Boro heroics.
