NHS league tables

Must admit, there never seems to be anything that happens in Doncaster that can be classed as superior but these NHS tables demonstrate that Doncaster and Bassetlaw teaching hospitals trust has performed the best out of all general hospitals in South Yorkshire, its not often you can say that about any metric from this area!

Well done to all concerned.

Seems if you're every likely to require the services of the NHS then the North East is the place to be!

Saw something about this on telly this morning.  The ratings are more to do with how each NHS trust is managed, rather than the quality of patient care itself.  Eg a poorly rated trust can still deliver decent patient care.

As the report itself outlines, tables like this will only result in patients looking to avail themselves of the ones that seem to be achieving to the detriment of the others, a bit like chasing a better school for your kids?

In effect confusing the general public into actually creating the exact opposite that these tables are trying to achieve?
