I think moly is the man for the 10 position, Gibson and middleton wide. This would remove the problem where is is almost double marked and be a change opposition wouldn't think.

He is a very good player and with support not abuse will be better quicker. There are many players not playing to where they should be currently so dont pick moly out as a scapegoat, its pretty embarrassing to be part of a club where the fans just abuse at the slightest thing and all think they are the manager of the world when they couldn't even make sunday league. Thats why I support and encourage. Mccann leaves him on as he knows a moment of brilliance will make the difference and moly is pretty much the only guy who can give us that.

I have never had an issue with Mols staying in the team when he’s not in the best form but, McCann never subbing him off is becoming ridiculous to the point where I very nearly booed when Middleton came off. Despite him being on a yellow it should 100% been number 7 on that board, he was utter cr@p yesterday.

Mcann stated in his post match that middleton was off his feet by the hour mark, questioned his decision to stsrt him after the spurs game.
Was a factor in the sub at that point. And also middleton wasnt creating anything better than mols.
He buzzes around like he is busier but isnt.

Mols is a marked man so this creates a problem the team has to solve to get the best out of him . Relying on Mols beating one defender then a second one only to find he’s got no one to pass too . Defenders know about him so they double up and nullify his runs . Sterry’s  injury hasn’t helped as Mols fed off his quick pace and direct passes . McCann should have seen  this coming and made sure who ever played right fullback got the ball quicker up the pitch and stop passing it sideways and backwards.

Still prob 2nd player on team sheet behind Bailey even when not on his game, coming up against a lot better defenders whether he has 1 or 2 players against him when he has then ball, however when for what ever reason he doesn’t play he is missed even more for his defending duties

Mols issues are entirely his own at the moment. His confidence is obviously down and he's not making goof decisions.

He's been going down too easily at times but also not getting the rub of the green when he needs it. That slash of a shot on Saturday was a symptom of where he's at the moment. As we all know, in sport sometimes the harder we try, the worse things get.

He's one of a few who are struggling to play freely without fear at the moment.

This is where our Manager earns his corn to manage individual players to get them to perform as we know they can.

He put a great cross in from the right midway through the second half that went right across the six-yard line with no-one anyway near it to turn it in. Just after Sharp had gone off - who is exactly the player you would have wanted on at that time.

Agreed it was cross of the game and later from left hand side he put in one which cleared everyone in Area and bounced once into touch 10 yards from their Corner Flag

However I think he is class for this Division and hopefully will improve even more

I trust GM to keep improving both Molly and every other player in the squad

Mols should have scored against Luton, his ability to control a ball in play sometimes lets him down. Let's hope that Copps is working on that with him.

Playing like he believes he's not good enough at the minute IMO.
On Saturday he looked like he knew the defender had the better of him and just seemed to give up that was the frustrating part of his game ,when Gibson came on his pace scared them at the back

But how long are we prepared to wait for that one moment of brilliance? Are we happy to put up with 89 minutes of mediocrity in the hope something might happen?

Tracking back he does  but lacks the natural  awareness of a defender and gives the ball away in dangerous areas often especially when he does  not have Sterry  behind him .

I'll have to disagree with you there, Baz. I think he IS making goof decisions. LOL.

Moly being doubled up on shouldn’t be an issue as that means there should be a free man somewhere.

The staff and team need to work out alternative routes to goal fast because we’re ranked 24th in the league for shots on target.

And yet another game goes by with us still waiting for Molyneux to be substituted but GM knows a moment of brilliance will make the difference.
It's wearing a bit thin that one. Its always Molyneux that stays on and Gibson gets hooked. Why??

Because GM thinks that Mols is more likely to score than Gibson.

There was literally 5 mins between gibson going off and mols.

Would understand this statement if mols stayed on till the end.

Maybe gibson had signalled his race was run.

I'd like to see Gibson in the 10 role.

Molly looks too slow for this division.

Gibson played in the 10 role at Wigan and it was changed. He looked lost!

When was the last time Molyneux was subbed before Gibson?

He hasnt, but the statement you made sounds like he was given alot longer than gibson.
Its possible that gibson just doesnt have the energy to go more than 75mins

Grant was looking at fully changing that front line all in 1 go. Wouldnt look too much into mols getting a few more minutes on this 1.

My guts says give it a month or so and they will all click into place…side note pleased with hanlan , nkt scoring aside he’s a strong player, and produced some good little passes last night, shows he is a team player. He wants a goal, love that hunger.
