Wolves
« on December 08, 2025, 08:31:18 pm by DonnyNoel »
I went to quite a lot of Rovers games in the mid 90's as a teenager (god bless those free tickets to schools) and 97/98 was my first year as an ST holder. From memory we won our first game in early December at home to Chester thanks to a comedy Mike Smith goal. So all talk aside of Wolves being worse than the Derby 07/08 side, are they actually a few games short of fielding their chairmans neighbour in goal?

Yep, was coming through at the same time as Butland who everyone seemed to think would get 100+ caps for England but SJ was definitely better.

Curtis Main, of all people, scored a screamer that day.

I came home from that and went in my local bookmakers and asked for a price on Sam Johnstone getting a full a cap for England, they’d get back to me. I’m still waiting
