The Maxwell one looked a horrible challenge live. I thought it looked a red, not seen a replay.

Watching it in slow motion on the highlights, in not certain it was a foul.

It was a hell of a robust challenge, but his feet never left the ground and he clearly made contact with the ball before he made contact with the player. It's far from certain that his boot made contact with the player, and the worst looking thing about the challenge was how their lad ended up being flipped over Maxwell by the momentum of the impact.

I was directly begging him live and it looked like he took a bad touch and lunged in, I couldn’t really see what the feet were doing. The replay certainly wasn’t as bad as it looked from behind.

I agree, it looked a shocker from the stand. I was in a similar position and I thought it might have been a red. But from the replay, a yellow was very harsh.

For me Clifton’s was a yellow although many ref would not have given so early in game.
However Maxwell’s was not a foul, it was just a strong challenge where he clearly got the ball full on.

Agreed, my first thought ( watching on the tv) was that Maxi won the ball fair and square.
Yes it was a full on challenge but both players went in hard and fair.
Not even a yellow for me, and the ref had a very good view of it too.
Poor decision to book our player.
