I left in the 92nd minute for a pee and never went back. I got back to Bradford just before 6. A horrible drive over for the game and an even worse drive back after. I was still freezing when I got back.
I’ve left games early a few times over the years. If I feel that the team aren’t putting the effort in then neither will I. Based on my own memory, of all the games that I’ve attended I don’t think that I’ve ever walked out before the end and missed an astonishing fight back.

On a positive note it was a doddle getting out of the car park

You remind me of the guy who found a pair of crutches in the attic, so he went down and broke his wife's legs.
In the Championship days I’d often see a geezer on the same train as me heading up to Donny for the Rovers game from Kings X. He was always on his own so a couple of times I’d try to engage him in conversation but to describe him as a man of few words was an understatement. In fact, he’d often give me a shimmering ‘just piss off and leave me alone’ look! Fair do’s. I do recall that I never saw him on the return journey home though, neither in Donny station nor on the train. One day I braved it and asked him what time train he got back to London and he said that he left every game at exactly 70 minutes so he could catch a train that saved him about a fiver in his ticket. No smile, laugh or irony. It was the right thing to do in his eyes. As soon as we dropped out of the Championship I never saw him again. I might need to add him to the missing fans thread.
