Exeter are looking for a greater share of the gate receipts from the Man City game at the weekend.

Should Man City do it? It'd be a nice gesture as they don't really need the money, but from a Donny perspective is it in our interests to see a fellow struggler get what would effectively be a subsidy?

I think it could potentially start something if they do agree to it

Cheeky to ask, and I dont think they should have.
But I also think man city should offer it anyway.

Agree about the cheek to ask. Trouble is Man City could be in a no win situation now. If they had volunteered to donate an extra share, then it would be good PR.
Trouble is, what then obligates other 'big clubs' to donate extra shares? Where do you draw the line?
As it stand Exeter will be receiving a substantial sum. Yes we know they are a fan owned club and are struggling to maintain their status, but should that qualify for a bigger pot? I don't think so.

"The trust has put in further loans worth more than £600,000 this season after an overspend last year left the club with worrying debts"
Spent too much, and asking City for a bail out. Cheeky so and so's

O’Hara will know a lot about Exeter situation but I swear I read a lot of the problems stem from different fans involved in the decisions having opposite ambitions to each other? There’s been accusations of overspending that wasn’t sanctioned or something?
There’s trouble ahead for them, I don’t know how much more money they have due in from previous player sales, Birmingham have paid up early for Stansfield. They’ve done really well out of their academy but Plymouth and Bristol City will probably clean up on that front with Exeter in turmoil. Shame as it’d be nice to have more successful fan owned clubs, not fewer. Especially when it’s just Americans buying up every club now.
