Did Rovers have any shots on goal other than the pen? The clip seems to mainly show Barnsley shots b

From that the Barnsley player was lucky not to be sent off for that penalty challenge on Adelakun. He’d got in front of him, defender missed the ball, Adelakun is 70/30 to score in that position and defender pulls him down. A foul with the hand denying obvious goal scoring opportunity is red. Lucky man there!

Hak definitely played that one as i thought it was a foul on the defender.

Blatant pen for me and I also questioned if it should be a red.

We certainly did have some efforts despite not being on the highlights and ours were better too. Shame Hanlan didn't shoot quicker when he had the chAnce at 1-0 but he was getting tired then. These players are being made to work hard and it showed in the quality of the game.

What match are them highlights from?

They seem to be from a game where Barnsley dominated chances and we just got a penalty.

It had to be a red card. Clear DOGSO with the defender deliberately pulling him down, not misjudging an attempt to get the ball.

Mind the ref were shite from start to finish. From not giving a yellow card after that lunge at Senior when play finally stopped early doors then booking Gotts for one nowhere near as bad. Right to the end where he never spoke to their lad who deliberately dipped his shoulder into Bailey as he powered in for that header. That could have been a really bad one, looking at how Bailey's head jerked at the impact. Fortunately he's made of granite.

The amount of shirt pulling and holding which went unpunished was unbelievable. Hanlon and Gibson were getting dragged all over. The only one he did give was the Pen.

The given penalty was definitely a penalty. The one on Hanlan was one of the best tackles i’ve seen this season.

Hanlan is like he’s running in sludge but I thought he performed his role brilliantly yesterday. Hope playing the full 90 doesn’t b*llocks his hamstring.

That was a great tackle.

The one on Senior was a booking all day.
I was screaming at the ref to give the yellow.
Had the ball gone straight out he would have given it.
So it shouldn’t matter the ball happened to stay in play ages afterwards.

This is from the full match highlights. Shows how late the foul on Senior was. How on earth can you see that and not book the culprit? The ball is literally 3 yards away when he's made contact.

As for the one on Bailey late on, it's 100% a yellow card. There's no "smoking gun" single image - you need to see the whole incident. Their lad starts off looking like he's going to challenge for the header. But Bailey is coming through like a juggernaut. Their lad knows he's not going to win the header. So he stops dead, turns his body 90 degrees then jumps with his shoulder into Bailey's sternum. The speed Bailey was coming in at, he's lucky there wasn't a serious injury. It's the sort that could easily crack a rib. And the ref reckons it was t even worth a talking to.

He let a lot of fouls go that other refs wouldn't but that one on Senior was ridiculous. I think 99 times out of 100 refs would show a yellow for that.
