Mid-Season Piss Up

This is what happens when the team go for a lads holiday in Scotland, the lack of effort today is appalling, TLT our most attacking threat lumping balls from our own box

Played like they’re still pissed up.

This result had been coming. We’ve been terribly from an attacking perspective of late. 5 shots on target in the last 4 games, and one was a penalty.

Agreed yet only 1 striker left because of injuries

I think everyone has a right to be angry after that no show. Pretty pathetic really. An insult to the beautiful game with an attitude that didn't seem to care.

McCann has said as much in his post match interview. Given our rank inconsistency this season, I suspect we might have a slightly better chance of getting a result down at Exeter now.

If Exeter finish up losing at Blackpool and we can go there on Monday and win then we would be totally safe.

Imagine blaming a piss up on why we lost today…you didn’t have any issue with them doing it after the Bradford game knowing we had to win the following week to win the league….

The pitch is an embarrassment for league 1, so many times today a perfectly paced and placed pass bobbled up on players.

No excuse for today though, in front of a bumper crowd and they show a total lack of interest.

Well played to Senior, Gotts, Lee and Hanlan, the rest need a proper dressing down.

Agreed , but once again goals change games and the Moly chance that hit the post could have done just that. Elliot Lee great ball then for the next few minutes we looked well up for it

Playing poorly against another poor looking Team I was still disappointed when we went in 0 0 at HT

Then my bubble was burst as we had several chances to clear the ball before allowing their left "winger" to hit a speculative shot that of course took a freak deflection after which we may have asked the Ref to stop it and let us all go home

that wasn't a shot in my world it was a deliberate hard low hit a % ball and see what happens  - shame we can't do balls like that

Imagine not seeing how they're complete different. A piss up after securing promotion vs a piss up for achieving???? Erm, still being in a relegation scrap

They didn’t go on a piss up to celebrate achieving anything.

They were a group of colleagues turned mates that went for a trip away on piss during a rare bit of time off in what’s a pretty stressful and taxing schedule. Shoot them!

It will have had zero affect on today, they are athletic people.

I thought first half we were pretty good played some good football and really should have been ahead. Nlets be honest thought Mansfield did very little to win that game, we've played far far worse and won.  We were unlucky to lose but also very average after going behind.  3 injured strikers when you only have 3 is a problem.

On the topic, give the guys a break FFS.  We don't need to over analyse every single thing, they're allowed some time off it will do them zero harm.

God forbid a group of players go for a drink together during downtime.

Lets line them up and flog them. Get a grip.

I didnt see a group of players out there who didnt care, i saw a game where nothing came together. One of those games that every team in the league has at least a few times during a season, some more than most.

Some fans just love to claim that players dont try once we lose.

What was good about the team last season was that the players played and looked like a bunch of mates who all got along.
If letting them go away together tries to improve team bonding then im all for it.
It had sod all to do why we lost today

A fluke goal and an offside goal is why we lost today

I can’t help but notice the drop off in form/goal contributions from Molyneux since he started documenting his love of card collecting. Is it really wise to stick with a man who when one-on-one could switch off any second to think about his latest 1/5 auto Lee Trundle?

While we are at it… he’s always at the cinema. Someone needs a quiet word in his ear that he’s a footballer not a film critic. Total lack of focus.

I saw him and bailey at rustic pizza together after a game that we didnt win.

I was disgusted and nearly marched over there to remind them that they should be both alone at home watching re-runs of where they went wrong and not out socialising and creating bonds.

We go in there regular and seen him and a few others in there a couple of times. See Bailey walking round the lake a bit now too. No wonder he’s knackered  needs to be put on tag.

Ahh so now we are getting to the bottom of why we are not pushing the playoffs.

He lives by the lake.
