...From 6-2 Down to 6 all, a great equaliser in the 93 min.

And they missed an 87min pen

Kept flicking over from City-Spurs when I saw that 'Well had the comeback on...flicked over just in time to see Jutkiewicz's equaliser, it was brilliant. Reminds me of that Torres goal against Blackburn last season, maybe we should sign him from Everton to flesh out the attacking line next season :P

there is a close connection between motherwell lads and doncaster rovers lads
which started back in the mid 1980's

sure it began with a certian rovers fan who loves going form pub to pub on away
games from thorne.

he made the first connection, but i recall some of motherwells lads been round town one friday and saturday nite as they came down to take a rovers home game in

for life of me cant recall game year or division.
we went up their for a motherwell v celtic game at fir park.
i went onto high bar one friday nite for last orders and it was full of rovers lads and donnywhites.

yes man from thorne came upto us and asked if i wanted to go upto motherwell on the 00.30 train from donny to bonnie scotland, and it was on them washing powder train
tickets where one paid full fare and one went free.there was 12 of us all together.

we was in a pub just off princess street at 05.20 sat morning having a pint which was un heard off back then back in pubcaster.had a great all day saturday and nite on the lash with the 'saturday service' motherwells firm.

the gane got called off due to frozen pitch so we just stayed on lash.

come chucking out time saturday nite we was all in this pub just next to motherwell
train station called centre focus and non of doncaster lads had any hotel rooms booked,so the dj got onto his mic after one of motherwell lads gave him order to
put out a plea for anyone to put us up for the night.

the 12 donny were all just stood there while dj went onto mic and broadcast to all and sundry left in pub, told them all that we was all form doncaster and was up for the postponed game v celtic and take yer pick to take back home and put up for the nite.

all of us got somewhere to stay and we went back to donny mid day sunday.

out of the 12 donny lads put up only one lad got done over on way back to his
bed for the nite,he was beat up with a pit axe handel and spent night in hospital
which put a major damper on the weekend.

when scotland played in norway just before the newcastle v doncaster game
the pub i drink in down town oslo was rammed with jocks, this is where i got talking
to 4lads told them i was from doncaster and they was from motherwell and were all going to the newcastle v doncaster game.

these lads were motherwell younger generation and were still carrying on the tradition of conection with doncaster rovers.one of lads told me he had a rovers home shirt and loved the 'rovers till i die' but could not wear it round motherwell
as thei main rivals hamilton played in red and white hoops.

turns out they get down to at least 2 rovers home games per season.
nice to know eh

I've watched the highlights on bbc...

Check out the goal that made it 6-6, what a bloody screamer!

Also had to chuckle at the motherwell fans leaving after 6-2!
You'd be gutted to have walked out and missed that!

Carrying on Oslo,s connections, the connection didnt just end up with Rovers lads, a few Donny Owls got hooked up with the Mothers, a certain Mr Hog and Mr Hawk are still fans. Also way back in the eighties, 2 punks went up to Edinburgh and Motherwell, stayed at Matts house in Well. The two lads, one Rovers one Wednesday went to the ground one Thur aft and the groundsman let them in the ground for fotos! Then in the club adjacent to the ground they were welcomed in by the old doorman who had been stationed in Finningley! Great little town for a few sherberts.

matt is the chap who wrote the book about motherwells firm saturday service

he put us up one nite at his house about 8years back as i was flying back to uk form oslo via prestwick airport.

his front room is decked out in the colours of motherwell football club, from wall paper
fire place, couch with motherwell brick and brack all over the shop.

took to his local pub just round the corner form his house.

when i was walking upto the pub i thought hello what type of place is this as its the only pub i been in that had no windows so put me fate in  matts hands.once in it was less than half full of tea time drinkers and they was all diamomnds when matt told them i was form doncaster and a rovers lad.

like allready said nice local communaity up there and if they know your from doncaster
your as safe as houses and will be treated as a local.

Matt made it down to the Blackpool away game this season and took his kiddies along so hopefully there's another generation of Donny/Well fans being brought up in the tradition.
