As part of South Africa celebrating the World Cup and their commitment to the worldwide community, the nation of South Africa have given away 2010 BIC pens to the people of Doncaster.

From her Cape Town office, Laurana Umbwhiting, Head of Commercial said of the initiative \"Football has the power to unite people and change lives and as a nation we wanted to help with that. It has been well documented in the media that the people of Doncaster love football and especially the signing of new players, to them a freshly signed contract is their prized possession, so the nation saw a great opportunity to make a significant gesture\"

Laurana continued \"Seeing the pictures of the people in the township of Doncaster waiting for players to be signed, where the excitement really has reached fever pitch ahead of the first game in August made us realise that we could help make them smile by giving them a box of pens to enable the signing of significant players.\"

Doncaster Rovers Player James Chambers (pictured above) received the 2010 BIC reusable pens (blue inked) as part of his charity work with Ambassadors in Sport today and with Donny Dog, will be assisting in helping to distribute the pens around the Keepmoat.

Smooth...gave me a chuckle. Hopefully this gesture leads to the imminent signings of top quality players at the Keepmoat.
