He wouldn't keep our bench warm never mind start. I'd sooner have Stuart Elliott back.
I agree with that too. Copps really stepped up (out of the shadows, some may say) when Macca left.
I'd have him back tomorrow! Although he'd not get in the XI, he'd be a helluva backup, that is of course Sean and co. could get him back somewhere near to the standards he had here. It's depressed me to be fair to see him looking so shite since he left us whenever we've played against him, when you think of the way teams were destroyed by him (and the lads around him at the time) in the bottom two tiers! A quality player for us, and one I'd certainly welcome back. Regardless of how or why he left us in the first place! At the time, for whatever reason he moved on to better himself - and who could blame him? Coming back to us now, he would undoubtedly better himself again!
Having said that, at the time, Macca was a big fish in a little pond.
surely a 100 grand bid would bring mcindoe back in where he was the best!!get 2 years out of him easy.

Total disagreement with the above posts in that McIndoe is exactly an O'Driscoll type player and a model professional in the way he conducted himself on the field whilst at Rovers. His attacking prowese doesn't really need comment (I think he was still at the top of the stats for crosses & assists last season) but beyond that I dont think I have ever seen a harder working player, whenever we lost the ball he would always be the first to chase back and to help the fullback. Did he show lack of loyalty to Rovers or did Rovers show lack of loyalty to him? Any team would be the better for talented players. But all that said I wouldn't go chasing him, if he were looking for a deal back with us fine, but lets move on and build a team for the future not the past.
