Well i'm going to  guiseley( my local side) vs whitley bay in the fa  cup.

Really looking forward to it as it's only my second live game of the season due to work.  for some reason it feels great to watch a match lower down the ladder to rovers.

He did yeah, a few games in our promotion year from the Conference.

I've spent the day in Newcastle scouting out Northumbria University before deciding where I'm applying to for next year! Felt weird being on a train on a saturday and NOT going to football!

Just to say it was a good match.  Whitley Bay are a good few divisions below Guiseley but matched them until the ref made the worst pen/sending off decision i have witness.  The Guyiseley forward went through the defender in the box but the ref decided to give Guiseley a pen and send a WB player off.

Some good stuff though and Timothy Taylor at have time!  Carling meh!

Went to look at a couple of new cars. Both Focus ST-2's, both in Bradford. Not up to par unfortunately.

Mine will be up for sale pretty soon...PM me if you're in the market for a new motor  :)

Doesn't matter if you are a rent boy mate, at least the bills get paid.

I had a trip into \"enemy territory\"- the Don Valley to watch Rotherham v Stevenage. I've been before but I haven't seen a Football League game there- which I needed to to go towards my 92.

First half Stevenage bossed the game and were caught just before the interval by a sucker punch- Le Fondre setting up Nicky Law for a fine finish. Rotherham were better in the second half and could have made it 2-0 but Nick Fenton's header was disallowed (correctly) for pushing. Then Stevenage got around the back of the defence and although Andy Warrington blocked the shot it fell to Mousinho who scored. In second half stoppage time Stevenage had the ball in the net again but it was disallowed for offside.

Overall a fair result but I have to say the game was of pretty low quality. Rotherham's midfield was very poor and had Stevenage been better at both ends of the field they'd have won comfortably. Those who thought Le Fondre \"worth a punt\" would think again if they saw this. A handy striker at that level but nowhere near good enough for the Championship. The only player who looked good enough to play at a higher level was Nicky Law who impressed throughout.

And the Don Valley? A nice stadium but assuredly not a football venue. The athletics track kills the atmosphere, as do the empty areas opposite the main stand.

No football on tv, just rugby (not a fan), so yesterday was apple pickin' day.  Every autumn this time all the apple orchards around where I live offer pick your own apples.  They have smaller apple trees where you can just pick 'em off the branches as well as larger trees which have ladders nearby to use if you want to climb up to get the ones higher up (or more likely, the ones on the lower branches have already been picked)!  Then at the same place, you must also get fresh apple cider (non alcoholic kind), as well as cider dough nuts, which are regular deep fried but then covered with a granular sugar.  Yum.

So today is makin' the pies and apple sauce day, then.  :-)   THE American Fall activity along with American football - ugh)!     lol

I went to Hyde vs Boston in the Blue Square North, was actually pleasantly surprised by the quality of football on offer, mostly from Boston who won 3-0. Jason Lee (former pineapple head) played really well, winning everything in the air.

Hyde look as though they are onto a good thing, Man City reserves play at their ground and looks like some of the Arab millions have found their way to Ewen Fields. Everything is painted blue (despite the fact Hyde play in white) and there are no local sponsor boards anyway, just Umbro, Etihad, City in the Community etc. Must be a nice little earner for them!
