I think the official answer is 'no'.

Saying that I read somewhere that someone had cracked it a few weeks back, but Sony put out a firmware update quite quickly that you had to install otherwise it'd stop you being able to go online and I don't doubt stop you playing any newly released game.

Anyway, stop being a naughty boy and pay for your games! ;)

Thats just the problem,40/50 quid a game and it is never ending.
When its chipped you could get 25 copied games for the price of 1.  

I will speak to a lad round corner and see what he says.

As the reply said You can not chip or the term is flash the console that is if you want to go online with it will not work

I think i know how to flash it but cant chip em.

YES!
But you can't play online. And any new games you buy probably wont work. It isn't worth it at all. For a start it voids your warranty, you can't play online, and copied games are illegal.
