Scott Mathieson v Colin
« on December 19, 2010, 03:41:58 pm by The Red Baron »
Did anyone see the \"words\" exchanged in the tunnel after the Leeds- QPR game on the FLS? As usual, \"Colin\" Warnock was giving the ref some grief but this time the official- Scott Mathieson- gave as good as he got! Great TV!

After a certain night at Rushden over a decade ago, I've never been a fan of Mr Mathieson as a ref., but fair play to him for not letting Warnock get the better of him.

Shame that, given there was so little footy on yesterday, we didn't get more highlights of Friday's game and that Manish and Leroy concentrated on Boro's problems rather than Rovers' success.

Donny getting more time on the FLS? The pundits concentrating on our good points? Yeah, that's about as likely as lifting the Premiership title next season.

I thought Mark Chapman presenting the show last week was like a breath of fresh air.

If only the Beeb'd ditch the Leicester dick permanently rather than keep their token Asian presenter, as that's surely the only reason he's got the job cos there's no way its based on his presenting skills or likeability. First rate smarmy tosser.

The ref's retort was quality too!

Warnock was having a go at the ref in the tunnel area and said something like \"I can show you 4 or 5 examples of bad decisions in that 2nd half\"

and Mathieson replied with something like...

\"Aye and I'll show you 4 or 5 examples of bad passes from your team.\"

I like Warnock tbh. Some of the stuff he comes out with cracks me up, and he always entertains on the touchline and in interviews.

 stuff of legends. I only like Warnock for the shite he comes out with, as you say, in his interviews. He's a bit like Wenger with his \"I didn't see it\".

\"bad\" passes; I thought Mathieson said \"back\" passes....

Thanks for clearing it up for me. I had wondering what that clown referee was on about.

You should listen to him on Talksport radio on a Sunday. I caught him after the QPR - Rovers game and he was very complimentary about Rovers even admitting that at times QPR were 2nd best.
Overall he is just a bigmouth but he shows passion for his team and he bullies other managers, refs, linesmen and 4th officials must dread it when they know theys've got to put up with him for 90+ mins.
Would I have him at the Keepmoat after SO'D given the chance? you bet I would.
