\"DonnyBob\" challenge again
« on March 09, 2011, 12:51:39 pm by Berkshire Rover »
Ticket sales for QPR at the moment are just shy of 7,000 with 1,300+ cockneys coming as well.

This really is a £15 and a quid a kid match so let's get behind the lads and turn out in numbers.

Let's support OUR LOCAL TEAM

ROVERS TILL I DIE

Considering I couldn't even give one of my season tickets away yesterday I don't think it is a price issue that is stopping people from coming. For whatever reason it seems a lot harder to persuade people to come to watch the Rovers these days, and I have no idea why.

Anyone who's able to drop a few flyers around your local shops, pubs, clubs, newagents etc, they are available in the club shop for distribution.

I'll be distributing some around the Balby area.

Ticket Sales 8836 + 1749= 10,585

Didn't realise we were charging QPR £28. Can't say I'm bothered though, seeing as I got stung for £34 on the day at Loftus Road.

There were plenty in the ticket office buying tickets and having done my DonnyBob with 2 extra bums, I don't think we'll be far off 10000 Rovers fans on Saturday.

Well done all those that have DonnyBobbed, with decent weather tomorrow, we could expect another 500 to to add to our numbers so if we end up near a 12000
attendance, I'm sure the marketing folk at DRFC will be very happy.

Especially charging £28 to QPR fans. Now I agree the maximising revenue is very important, the shortsightedness of this policy may backfire, as we have already heard ST holders not renewing in favour of waiting for the offers next season.

I look at the lost revenue from those STs and the games NOT attended. When we are charged £25 or £28 or, will it be £27 and £30 ? Will it be £18 for a Cat 3 match ??? There is still better value in the Season Tickets, so lets not blow your chances of getting the cheapest price.

Anyway, should make for a decent atmosphere tomorrow.

Although there has been no statement on this yet, I think it is safe to assume that with a £20  increase in ST prices next year there will be an increase of at least £1 on the match day prices next year.

The facts are that the club are only allowed to offer 4 discounted match tickets per season, so for those who think they will benefit from waiting for offers, you are wrong.

If you are going to go to at least 20 hone games next season, want your seat guaranteed and don't want to queue for a ticket every match then a season ticket is definitely the best option and taking advantage of the spread cost option should help.

Don't get mecwrong, I wish there were no increases for next year and they didn't charge for the payment plan, but that is the situation and if you are going to get a ST for next year then if you possibly can, do it next were before the prices go up.
