We will see who is right .....one things for certain billy big b's or not he is far too good for that level a blind man can see that

He had most of the attributes to be a top player yes...But why isn't he then? By his age Sharp had scored 30 a season for Scunny and had a multi million pound move! Fairhurst is overrated on here by a few and some people don't realise you need more than raw talent to be a top class footballer, you need to be prepared to put the effort in as well. If reports and rumours are true about Fairhurst i'm far from suprised that he never made it here.

I know that statement about needing more than talent may sound stupid but I know what I mean anyway
According to some he became Billy big b*llocks and assumed that once he'd made it into the team that was it, he was untouchable. Sorry son. You're not all you think you are.
We have better players by a mile than him. This move, if anything, is a season or 2 too late IMO.

If that's the case how come he didn't set the world alight in every chance he's had in that league?

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying he's a bad player, just that Rovers are looking to progress year on year and on a tight budget, we can't afford to be carrying players like Fairhurst along with us if he's not going to fulfil his apparent potential. There has to have been a reason SOD wouldn't play him and if Fairhurst leaving means a player of Vine's callibre coming in then it's a no brainer really.

I hope he does turn into a fantastic player but can't see him ever playing at this level. League 1 & 2 are his level.
