There are so many people who come on here just to \"view\"...quite possibly because if they dare to post, will end up getting shot down in flames regardless of how valid their point is, or how reliable their source is :chair:

Not by everyone though...may i add :)

After 4 games we prop the table up, if we were top after 4 games would you be saying were going up?? Silly question course you wouldn't, there would be something else to moan about. League table means nowt until 15-20 games it shouldn't even be published yet. Let's end this discussion now and return in January and see what there is to talk about then.

No you are wrong! What you do is complain about Sean at every oppotunity when you can.

Another blinkered happy clapper. It is easy to call someone negative when they are not a happy clapper. On many occasions I have spoken out in favour of what the club is doing but because I don't think SOD is the best thing since sliced bread I am always seen as negative.
Maybe this forum should only be for happy clappers and the rose tinted brigade.
But then who would you take your frustrations out on when everyone thinks everything in the garden is rosy as we continue to prop the table up.

First I am not a happy clapper or have Rose tinted eye sight. We are probably opposite in our views. I speak ou t against the club and the way the chairman appears to say we are better than we really are. Sean does make mistakes so do I and I bet you do. But the problem we have had since last Christmas is we have lost our best players and our leading scorer. He proved when fit along with James Hayter they could take chances we created. But in the last 22 games he has not been fit. We should have replaced his goals with a quality signing on loan last year the club did not we could not afford it. we have brought in players this year three experience players who have injury problems and all the others have potential which can go one or two ways at the moment they are not working out. You believe that is Seans fault I believe realistically it will take time for these players to develop the skills to compete at championship level. We have lost our four best attacking players hopefully Copps will be back soon. Some of the players we have in our squad would not have been good enough to get in Dave Penny's sides but I will keep those names to my self and support the players when picked.
So I believe until we get a settle 11 to 16 players available and Billy must be one of them he is our goal scorer at this level then we will not have consistent performances. The manager brought in these players this summer to improve the squad but they had to fit our wage budget. We really could not afford a direct replacement or partner at the same level has Billy. most other teams in this division have that capability.
Tomorrow we will probably have to play nine of the players who played Saturday unless the returning four are available then we won't have enough players to fill the bench.
We will have different views because since Dave left you have never appeared to have a good word to say about Sean you have about the club. My views are different but I am not going to turn this into a slagging match.

The original poster has been right with information in the past so I trust this one in good faith, whether it ultimately comes off or not.

Do we need a left back? Yes because we only have one and that is not enough to get through a season.

Is a left back top priority right now? Probably not if Spurr is fit as he is playing extremely well (if only we were as solid down the other side)

George Friend played left back last season - despite all that Benaldo said about him...

As Jonathan stated then 'we only have one left back' in Spurr! GF's a revelation in the middle but i'd rather not see us forced into using him on the left again.

jesus christ, this site is full of decent posters, uneducated idiots who can't spell, moaners, rose tinted misty-eyed folk, the average bloke, and knobheads. It's pretty pointless mudslinging on here because it's like (to use a famous film line) handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500.

In regards to the news about a man moving house, I guess we'll wait and see. I do think that Spurr is a little slow for a full back though, good tackler, passer, etc but a little slow. He runs a bit like George. He's the best left back the club has at the moment however and whomever is coming in would have to be better - at least, isn't that what JR/SOD/ROK/Mother Theresa have been telling us for 6 months?? SO using thir logic, and trusting them at their word, the players playing on Saturday were ALL as good or better than the injured lot. If they aren't, then SOD/JR have been lying to us, surely?

Anyway, I still believe SOD will get it right and that another left back isn't required when O'Connor is fit and can play right back - thus meaning dumbuya is last chance saloon injury cover at either side. I'd rather any money was spent on a goalkeeper.
