Shaun O'Driscoll football club

Sorry I thought It was Doncaster Rovers football club that I supported not SOD fc, The man as gone and rightly so in my mind. Players and managers come and go Doncaster Rovers remains constant in my life. For those idiots slagging off John Ryan the man is DRFC, without him there would not be a club, Its that f**king simple. If you dont like it then take your money and your moans and go watch the merry millers are Weeds or some other crap football team. In John Ryan I trust, In DRFC i will forever follow no matter who is in charge.

I totally 100% agree with you mate, reading \"the show some class thread has made my skin crawl\".The man has more class in his toe-nail than some of the posters who spout such drivel behind there keyboard ever have..

I can only assume none of you followed that coffin signaling the likely end to our club, none of you attended the meetings at the earl of donny where our clubs future hung by a thread. One man saved it ONE...John Ryan....

Nobody knows the facts on what happened yet some seem happy to have a go at JR

I suggest some of you wait and see who sod takes on next and go and support them,I for one support DONCASTER ROVERS and i can do that due to 1 man,and its not SOD..

I thought SOD time had come at end of last season but JR didnt agree and i didnt feel the need to slag him off on here because of that..

Some of you dont deserve this great club..!!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Everything has happened so quickly,in the space of 72 hours, thus people are shocked, myself included.  Thus people have the right to be bewildered..

for me, life goes on, but we could have let SOD have a few games with a nearly fully fit squad before getting rid?  Surely he was entitled to that after all the success he has given us?

But you know the answer behind that already Cov Rover. JR was set to give Sean a little time but the KM2 were not. Its a loss of a talented manager but we were not doing the business and action has been taken at the right time.

Lets put this to bed and get behind El Saundo. :scarf:

Maybe, Coventry Rover, but surely we had to deal with the issue NOW: JR couldn't wait until Christmas to do that, because by then we might be dead and gone. It is essential we stay in the Championship, and SOD has shown a remarkable lack of ability on one important area: scoring goals. He has set the team up well in defence and midfield, but the team don't play in a way designed to score goals, and if you don't score goals you don't win. SOD feels that possession is the key, but I don't think it is: scoring goals is the key.

So I welcome this dramatic and timely action. Well done JR!

He had 19 games to sort it, thats why he's gone. Bloody hell there wasn't this much uproar when the legend Billy Bremner left to manage the tossers at bellend rd. Now that man was a GOD in my eyes

It's a nice sentiment, but perhaps rightly it was felt that they (as in the board and JR ) couldn't take that risk.. football is big business after all.. none of us have a crystal ball, who knows if SOD would have won the next few games or not.. And the big question is how happy would anyone be if he was still here and we had lost on Saturday?

From my observations sentiment lives in the terraces not the pitch/ boardroom..

Time to draw a line, wish them both all the luck in the world and look forwards now. :)

In my eyes backing Sean is not backing Sean the man, it's backing the long term future of DRFC.

Whilst ever we had the Sean/John partnership I saw a great future for DRFC.

That might still happen, who knows, but I was confident in that said partnership.
