Tip for Man Utd fans:

when you're next cooking dinner, remember, some extra thyme's nice but you can't beat Basel!

Best nights TV of the week last night watching Man Yoo being dumped out of the competition they hold so dear.

Even better listening to the commentators in disbelief saying it was a 'travesty for England and the Premier League' (no it isnt). Atleast Roy Keane was honest enough to say they simply aint good enough.

Nowhere near to the same pedigree of Barcelona who put out a second string the night before and battered their opposition. Chalk and cheese.

Had a Red at work (who is actually from Salford - there is at least one) argue that the only bright side was that this might provide the impetus for Fergie to go out and splash the cash to improve the team.

Thing is though, they’re lost a fair bit of revenue in dropping into the Europa League. City can probably take it, I wouldn't be convinced Utd can these days.

I think Fergie got what he deserved to be honest. He pissed around with his team selections, resting key players thinking they could still qualify, instead of picking his strongest team until they were safely through and then resting players. He got it badly wrong and will cost the club millions. Beginning of the end for Fergie?

Give it a rest Nick, I would have said the same if the attacks were on Man City or Liverpool. It just smacks of petty jealousy against success sides, surely we're all above that it's bloody pathetic. :P

Only reason I don't like United are because they're \"everyone's local team\"..

\"Manchester United season ticket - now in HD\" isn't too far from the truth.

Nice one and lends some balance to the original post. However sad to see them both out imo, I thought City could have given the Spaniards a run for their money.
