Out for some time according to Saunders, medial ligament damage. Radio Sheffield said it was going to be months rather than weeks.

Hope not!

I know alot of people on here dont like him, but he has shown how good he is playing in every position he's been asked.

Without a doubt the best Defender we have at the club. Big blow

ye it is a blow not a massive one though. i would have him ahead of ilunga at left back, but it is close.

to me he is awful at centre half and anywhere in midfield that first header he did was typical of him up in the air and towards our own goal. i honestly belive if he stayed on at centre half we would of lost atleast lockwood can head the basics of been a centre half

CB was the making of him.

He goes from strength to strength. You cant make assumptions about losing on one bad header that happened with a players thats just come back from injury, surely!

it is just my opinion i know alot of people seem to rate him so i might be wrong.

however we must have lost more games when he plays than when he dosent.

After watching Locky's performance yesterday, I am not too worried. Especially if Beye is still here for a bit!

we have lost more games when Diouf plays than when he doesn't - what is your opinion of him may I ask?

You could probably say the same thing about Billy Sharp. What does that tell you?

Although Locky had a good game, Friend is quicker and can pass the ball better IMO, as well as being strong in the air and can head the ball. Its quite a conundrum really, because Sam Hird seems to be better at the back alongside both Locky and Friend, yet Beye is a class defender and cannot really be dropped if fit.

Hird has only ever had one game, for me, without Beye where he's looked competant and that was yesterday. One swallow does not a summer make..and all that.

While I am sorry that Friend has a serious injury,i for one think he is the most overated player at Doncaster i just dont see how he is anything other than average league 1 at best, never have and never will and thats at CB at left back make that league 2...
Hird is the most underated player we have,i think he has been harshly treated at times.Often the one making way when others are fit, even after a good performance.  Given a good run we will see the best of him....
