I don't know about that but he's looking more assured. Again some great tackles and blocks and Beye was just the same.

Future captain would probably be more appropriate I suppose! Just pleased for the lad(s)

Woah one step at a time!!! In the form of his life, possibly a lot to do with having a class act alongside him. Let`s just let him tick along, doesn`t need any pressure on him. Was outstanding again today, looking more confident with every game.

I was speaking to Sam in the week and the first thing id noticed was he had 'bulked up', he said he was enjoying being back in the squad and training with the like of illunga, beye etc has helped him progress and they are always talking to him and encouraging him. also said it was a different atmosphere under DS and was great to go into training every day.

This was my first game since Scunthorpe away last year((due to work and the missus being in ill health) so there was lots of different personnel on board.

I have to say that the Hird and Bebe combination was first class and snaffled any threats from Miller, yes there was a few moments in the 1st half where both Hird and Bebe made an error and gave the ball away in a poor position, however they looked solid. Also Tommy Spurr was great today to say hes ben out injured for a good while.

Stock played well and seems to be getting back to his best, some loose balls but thats because he's willing to play different kind of passes, short, long or ping it. Gillet didnt really do much for me and i think Oster/Woods wont be far off the starting XI.

The Keeper Button is very confident and instils confidence in the back four as he isn't glued to his line and his distribution is quality aswell.
He's always looking to get the ball out to the wing and get the team on the attack. Weather he stays when Ikeme is fit who knows.

My first chance to see Diouf and he was great in spits(no pun intended) and spats, only a great save from Marshall stopped him from scoring. you never know what hes going to do next, and once fully fit he will create a hell of a lot of chances for BS.

BS didn't look like a man playing his last game for the club(and the fact he didnt applaude the fans after the final whistle like Stocky, JOC did indicates he iis probably going to be a DRFC till the end of the season at least) He was unlucky with the 1 0n 1 when his touch let him down however hes a natural goalscorer so im sure he'll make amends nxt week.

The young lad Bennett looked good when he came on, can see why everyone is 'hyping' him up, one for the future for sure.

Talking to a few of my City mates after the game they said City were poor today, however i said i think Rovers made them look poor, It could and should have been 3 points for Rovers today. Hayts with the header in the 1st half, Diouf hitting the post and Sharps 1 on 1. They also said the position the club are in is a false one and no way will rovers go down, i said theres no chance that would happen...consolidate the championship status this year and see what happens next season.

Got to say i hope Button stays. As solid as Ikeme but his distribution is outstanding. Don`t think i`ve seen a keeper throwing the ball out to his centre forward too many times in my life !!!

Mufflicker thanks for that interesting summary à la Jonathan. Always interesting for us exiles to read that sort of report

.Extra dynamo now Tommy Spurr is back .. not bad after such a long lay off  . Also...Bamoko has now served the two match suspension he was carrying over from Greece and will now be available for selection. Suddenly we have 4 left sided players not counting Diouff.. Bennett, Spurr , Woods and Bamoko

I said the same he semmms to have put on a stone / grown a foot and above all has MASSIVE confidence.

Still prone to a duff pass or two BUT a revelation / a definite future Captain / and even Benaldo may be satisfied eventually !:chair:
