Reported today in Free Press that KMS is hosting gay pride!

THE date has been announced for this year’s gay pride event. The annual festival celebrating the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, will be held again at the Keepmoat Stadium on August 5.

Don't we always ask to be away first game of the season anyway?

I know JR was getting fed up of the seemingly annual \"away start, away end\" to the season

You have got to be f'n kidding me.

I sincerely hope that the season kicks off a week later due to the olympics or something. I swear the council do this on purpose. We haven't opened with a home game for literally 5+ seasons. I'm amazed they allowed us to finish at home this season.

EDIT: August 5th is a Sunday. Phew.

I prefer it that way tbh. Won't feel right not travelling to a game on the first and last day, further the better to for me.

I'm inclined to disagree after what can only be described as a nightmare day on the opening day of this campaign.

It was at KMS last year as well, I remember the choice was Pride Park away game or Gay Pride at home.

I'm pretty sure I've already seen it mentioned elsewhere that the season will start a week later due to the olympics.

Season kicks off on August 18th, if I'm not mistaken. Late start due to the Olympics.

I did think rovers had requested away starts in recent seasons so it would ensure an away game on Leger day.
