I think that is because usually when you reply to a post it is to the opening thread, if you want to reply to a specific post, as opposed to the opening post then that would be a good time to use the quote feature...

Hi Guys, love the new set-up.One problem I've got is when I have tried to Start a NEW TOPIC,I seem to only get the POST REPLY options on the page, there is nowhere to put my TOPIC THEME/TITLE and hence when I tried to post new thread it gives me a message along the lines "cannot post thread,no topic title entered".Don't know if Im doing anything wrong or not?Im on a laptop using a dongle for internet access.

The new thread Im wanting to post was to help my son,it was as follows...

"Does anyone know if they still sell previous programmes from this current season in the club shop? and do they have most in?My son is wanting the Bristol city game to complete his set.Or does anyone know anywhere else he can buy it?Thanks in advance."

Diouf should be taken off the banner. It's a real issue.

Removed Diouf from banner. Might add Bennett back at the expense of stock - will have a think about it  ;)

Have noticed a few times that I can't "quote" the original poster.

Is mobile site still working properly? Maybe it's just my phone but for the last few days it takes me to desktop version. If i click go to mobile site it does indeed take me to mobile home page but as soon as i access the forum it takes me back to desktop site.

What's happened to the "mobile" site? All the fancy images of the desktop site really slow it down on my phone.

Is this the "mobile" Mobile site of the "Desktop" mobile site?

Also what Phone do you use?

(It is almost unusable on my two Windows Phones)

I don't understand your first question.

I'm not on my phone at the minute, but when I do go on it, it's got the fancy KMS background, the animated sponsors' banner and all the frills, and it requires me to zoom in quite a bit to click on threads etc. When the new version of the site first launched a few weeks ago, the version on my phone had all the frills trimmed away and worked much better.

It's on an iPhone.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you should see a link that says

"Go to Mobile Site"

or

"Go to Desktop Site"

The Desktop site looks just like the PC version (expect on mine the options "home, forum join the VSC etc.,) are vertically lined and not horizontal, whereas the mobile version is no pictures and is a very basic forum with no pictures etc.,

EDIT: You will only see the links on your mobile and not on your PC...

It definitely throws you back to the desktop site.  It looks like an issue with the CSS.  We'll take a look at it.

I get this all the time with my iPhone, if you zoom in to much it boots me off. It makes reading pages 2,3 etc of posts difficult to select.

You should also be able to log in on the mobile site now (ie without having to login through the desktop version of the site)  :aok:

Just updated my Laptop to Windows 8 and there is a small problem regarding scrolling with the image of the keepmoat in the background on the Windows 8 IE (Which is far different from W7 IE9).

What's the point of the Keepmoat background? Doesn't seem to add much to the site - why not go full screen?

Why not stick a few of the clubs legends in the banner, then less risk/reason to change. Alick, Penney, and JR for example?

Just a thought.

Could you make it so that the "Quote" button takes you to a full reply box instead of just the Quick Reply box?

Is it posssible to show the start date of each topic in the title?
Possibly after the author.

Even better if we could re-organise the threads by start date as well as latest reply.

Thanks

Are you using a mobile? I get that alot, don't worry the title is there, just the white box to enter it isnt. Have a click around above the emotions until a cursor appears and type away. But be warned: you can't see the title until you post it so make sure you don't make many mistakes.
Also on mobiles poll results don't load properly.
On Internet explorer 10 (the new name for IE for windows 8 consumer preview) you can't edit a post, the page doesn't lad after clicking save. Gonna try attachments now.

I've just returned from a holiday where I was using my wife's I-pad to access the forum. For some reason or other on posts that I had contributed to the site and browser would both close down if I tried to scroll through it. On other posts it worked fine.

How do I "ignore" a user,
when I click on the shortcut for "Buddies/Ignored users list" it brings up an error message and asks me to log in despite already being logged in?
