"Doncaster Rovers FC comes from RG23 7DP Hampshire" - that would be Basingstoke then?

Let's hope they got the scores right; obviously have trouble with team shirts and location.

According to the official Gothia website all the participating UK clubs come from Hampshire.  I never knew it was that big.

I see in the game the U16's won 8-0 two lads called McKay scored. Are these Willy's boys I wonder?

Are these the same lads that Saunders apparently wanted on Friday for the Cleethorpes friendly ? Hope there is no truth to the rumour that our manager didn't know where his Youth team were when calling their manager up for their services the day before the friendly. It might explain why he played but wouldn't explain his lack of planning if there is any credence to said rumour.  :headbang:

That's the point you're missing . When he does his job he gets my full backing .........he hasn't so far.
I don't want the team I love to fail because everyone chooses to overlook the inadequacies of any part of our set-up and that includes the manager.
Of course you can continue to espouse the virtues of our Board and management like a 'love struck teenager'. Don't expect me or others to stand around dumbly watching if/when the whole lot falls down like a house of cards.
''Give it a rest'' indeed this club belongs to everyone and it's time you remembered that when critisising others for airing their point of view.

Splashing silly rumours on a forum though is beyond petty. Under the circumstances he's doing a good job, you think it's his fault he can't buy any players?
I was looking at the vital site from when sod had been in charge for around six months the other day and he was criticising our supporters for their behaviour during matches, lack of support, getting on his back, moaning at anything. Underneath there were numerous comments from fans saying he had to go there was even a poll about Neil Warnock taking charge.
Look what happened in the end, when he was given time and the chance to sign his own players.
Just a thought but why don't you learn from that and give the guy a chance.

Of course there were fans criticising SO'D before/during and after the successes of the past.........that's the point I'm making it's what supporters do. It's called opinion.
When that team and it's manager is on that field, believe me there are many on here that know I don't verbally abuse as many did the likes of Willo, So'D and Saunders etc EVER.
As for the silly rumour, believe me I wish it was just that unfortunately it's neither silly or unsubstantiated but you wouldn't believe it even if the whole Board told you it was true.

You said you hoped there was no truth in the rumour, and wondered if there was any credence to the rumour. That's why I thought it was silly because you didn't even seem sure about it yourself.
Just seems to me our fans can sometimes be terrible and often show themselves to be uneducated when it comes to football, not picking you out here as you've just stated you don't abuse at matches but some of the shouting is at times embarrassing as is the moaning when we're 2-0 up and were keeping the ball by passing it backwards.

dickos abusing players , manager or Board is never acceptable on or around the field of play on that point I totally agree with you.
As for the rumour I have now had it confirmed from 2 individuals who were furious about the circumstances (1 extremely close to the club)............I hope it's not  a case of Chinese whispers otherwise it doesn't reflect well on our communications within the club. Your manager should always be aware of where the Youth team is (especially if he intends to utilise them the following day !)

I don't disagree, but it's similar to the rumour of him not knowing it was an early kick off at Watford I think it was. I don't believe that for a second.
I also thought you were responding to the 2 under 16 players called McKay, as they wouldn't have been of interest to Saunders for the first team as they're only 15-16.
Just seems to me that every little thing that happens is being jumped on, he has already shown a keen interest in the youth team and has brought through this year more than any year previously.

There is a playoff game to come with another losing QF team.  They have done well, another bunch which bode well for a successful youth development programme.
