Lakeside Sports Co?
« on August 04, 2012, 02:43:17 pm by Filo »
Last month I made a purchase on my Credit Card from the ticket office, it`s showing on my statement as Lakeside Sports Co, has the ticket office been excluded from the running of the stadium? Are they a separate entity, I was expecting Keepmoat Stadium or DRFC on my statement and had to rack my brain to think what the purchase was!

DRFC don't take over until about the 14th August I believe. It's still run by SMC until then. The council only approved the deal a few days ago, and the DRFC board have still to approve it formally.

I know all that, but where does Lakeside Sports Co fit into all of this?

Lakeside Sports Complex is the Council's name for the development, and all purchases have had that name since it opened. The Lakeside gym direct debits also showed the same name on bank statements.

BTW the reason for it saying Lakeside Sports Co, instead of Lakeside Sports Complex is due to the BACS system limiting transaction descriptions to 18 characters, so most bank only show the first 18 characters of a company name on the statement. The Co I guess is short for Complex, and not Company.
