Anybody seen this on film and has anybody seen this in that there West End Theatre.

We've borrowed the DVD and one to watch this week. When we went to that there London, I went to see Shrek with the younger ones, but many of the older ones went to see this just over the road. They came out white with fear and said it was the scariest thing ever!!!

I thought it was a very good film, not as good or as dark as the book, but definitely worthy of a watch or two. I don't normally 'jump' jump due to films but a few points in this made me vertically lift off the sofa.

Not seen the stage show though, might have to look at that!

Seen the stage show twice. The first time I saw it I watched it from behind my coat and the second time, it was even worse because I knew what was coming.

It is a fantastic show, no point in me even watching the film because it could never be as good!

Disappointed with the film, Daniel Radcliffe seemed far too young for the main character.  One scary moment.

Agree, I saw this about 10 years ago at the theater and remember being terrified. Was brilliant though and can highly recommend it.

First time I saw it we were staying at university halls of residence and our rooms weren't ensuite - I can remember spending around an hour in the shower one night as I was terrified to come out of my cubicle because I thought she would be waiting for me! I am a wimp though, when I went to see it the second time round, my ex wasn't really that scared by it - maybe because he knew when scary stuff was coming (so didn't really jump) given I watched it from behind my coat again.

Might give the film a watch, although I agree it won't be as good as the show.
