Well done to Bradford fans!
« on February 24, 2013, 10:19:17 pm by LincsRover »
One of the best things I've seen at a football match in years - 4-0 down and Bradford fans cheered their first corner as if they'd just won the champions league! Classic! Brought tears to my eyes!

Well done to all Bradford fans, hope they had a great day, a credit to their team!!!!!

 :woohoo:

The text commentary bloke/woman on the BBC clearly had no idea about the heart and soul of football.

When the third goal went in after 47 mins, he/she said: "When is too early to start heading home for Bradford fans? "

Bell end. Absolutely no idea whatsoever after living so long in the Premiership bubble.

Shocking research as well, talking about 56 dead Bradford fans, it was 54 Bradford fans and two Lincoln fans. Lincoln have even named a stand after the two of them.

All goes to show according to media football doesn't exist or matter out side the premier league

I was at the game yesterday (with the Swansea City fans) and the Bradford fans were excellent at 4-0. Unfortunately they were shite at 0-0, 1-0, 2-0 & 3-0.

It did make me laugh when the Swansea fans stood to applaud the efforts of the Bradford fans only for the Bradford fans to boo the Swansea end.

Question, forgetting financial gain, would you rather have Rovers get to final and get thumped 0-5 or go out in the semis with head held high ?

I would always want to get to the final.  Depending who you play you can still hold your head up after a 0-5 beating.

I agree they managed to get to a major Cup final and had their time in the sun as well as the club being able to stuff some money under the pillow for the future. Well done Bantams and their support.

For the record I'd rather get beat 0-5 in a real cup final, but I'd rather us lose in play off semi than that final.

Where's your balls man?

The whole issue of being a football fan is that you make a compromise.

You sacrifice your ability to have any f**king influence whatsoever over results (barring a few strangled cries from the terraces).

In return, you get taken on a rollercoaster ride of emotion. The crucial point being that the negative emotions are as important as the positive ones. If you don't experience the mega-kick in the gonads, you cannot truly appreciate the ecstatic highs that football gives you.

So, for me, I'd savour the odd defeat in a play-off final. Because it makes the next success all the sweeter.

Mind, if we lose at Wembley this year, I'm spending the whole summer bawling me eyes out and braying the bairns.

Just watched the final highlights on iplayer and must admit when Bradford had their one shot on goal and the fans cheered as if they'd won the cup it really got me
