Well at this stage of the season it's all about the points.

We were the better team today although a couple of our players looked off the pace. Cotterill has had better games - looked well off it in the first half - and Humey had one of those games when it didn't look like it would fall for him. Bringing Paynter on was obviously a great substitution and totally justified by the goals.

We looked a bit nervy at the end and shouldn't have done as Crewe weren't up to much today.

And so to Notts County. Hope Griffin's fit. Any more of this and I'll have no fingernails left...

He did ok. Got caught out of position a couple of times in the first half and I thought they were going to really try and attack the left hand side. But they didn't. The only problem is he's naturally left footed and kept turning inside. Still, probably the best option we have as an emergency right back.

Wonder if Quinn will make one of the last 2 games. 

I know what you mean about Husband.  I play left back myself (badly  ) but cant play right back to save my life.  Totally different ball game when you're left footed.

I thought we were poor first half. Defended well enough not to let Crewe create much (other than the one-on-one saved by Sully) but I thought we looked a bit off the pace.

Second half we started much better though, and showed a lot more intent to press them. Then we had a shaky spell when they scored, and a bit of a nervy ending, but most of the second half was alright from us.

Pubteam I thought we were positive right from the start, perhaps lacking in quality in the first half - but certainly more committed than last Tuesday.

We looked poor but solid up until about the half hour mark when we put them under real pressure. After that we were much the better side, goal came against the run of play and we dropped too far back in the last 5 minutes but defended well. Could have had a couple more, we had 2 ruled out, one of which which looked a bit dubious from where I was.

Fair enough. In the second half we seemed to get at them from the moment they kicked off, but in the first half that urgency didn't quite seem to be there to me.

We all see it differently I suppose.

I agree with you we were more effective 2nd half, but we were forward thinking all game.
